The Vault houses some of the oldest, most-cherished, and most-coveted artifacts from the Perfume Passage Collection. Visitors appreciate these remarkable artifacts alongside 40 feet of custom murals. Together they illustrate why perfume is one of humanity’s oldest and most treasured luxuries.
Glass, enamel, and gold leaf. Designed by A. Gravier, Daum Nancy studio, 1910. The firm’s art glass rivaled Gallé’s, relying on layered techniques to evoke the natural world.
Greek, probably Corinthian, c 6th Century BCE. Though this woman wears a veil and a classic Archaic smile, her long, dove-shaped body identifies her as a siren.
Includes lipstick, powder and pill box. Launched in 1950 and patented in 1956 by the Elgin American Company, in Elgin Illinois.
